| Saint Paul, MN (March 31, 2010) -- Paula Berends and her rockin’ country band will take the stage at the 8th Annual MDA Ride “Rolling into the Future” hosted by Faribault Harley-Davidson. The popular fundraiser benefitting the Muscular Dystrophy Association raises about $45,000 each year and attracts over 1,200 participants. Look for Paula and her band to mix up familiar hits with new music and country favorites.
A native of New Richmond, Wisconsin, Paula has been on stage since she was seven years old. She is a natural born performer with a dynamic voice, sparkling stage presence and captivating personality. She released her first CD Just for Me in 2009 and is working on a new CD Tonight It’s Country.

Cheryl Meehl is Faribault Harley-Davidson’s 2010 Volunteer of the Year
Faribault, Minn. (April 30, 2010)
– Beginning this year, Faribault Harley-Davidson will recognize outstanding volunteers from the dealership who participate with Harley’s commitment to non-profits like Muscular Dystrophy Association, Disabled American Veterans, and Hospice . The emphasis of this program is to spotlight outstanding volunteers in the biker community.
Volunteer of the Year awards are presented by Faribault Harley to individuals for their dedicated service to the community of riders. These awards are presented based on the following criteria: effort, impact, leadership and meeting the challenges these events bring each year.
Ann Hofmeister, owner of Faribault Harley-Davidson, said “Cheryl is an indispensable individual; she is one who can walk in and create order, someone who can connect, create and make things happen. She is a linchpin of Faribault Harley and she serves our MDA committee by holding the elements together and helps everyone function as a unit.”
A native of Faribault, Meehl has been a volunteer with the MDA ride and fundraiser since 2003. She is the 2010 committee chair and has served as committee member and worker bee since the beginning. When asked why she does so much for MDA Meehl stated: “It’s easy to devote time and energy to the Faribault Harley MDA fundraisers when you get to know the kids. I met our MDA ambassador Ryan when he was just a little kid and now he is graduating. To know that we raised money to help kids like Ryan and his parents just does my heart good.”
